One Kid + One Tree = One World

People Protecting Animals & Their Habitats is providing children around the world with an opportunity to plant a tree.

Adults like trees, children like trees, it seems that trees are one thing everyone can agree upon. They provide oxygen, filter the air, clean the soil, store carbon, protect us from the elements, conserve water, make our cities quieter, give us fruit and provide animals with cover and food. Life is simply impossible without trees.

In 2012 People Protecting Animals & Their Habitats – PATH Inc., will again provide children with the resources needed to plant trees in their communities. PATH will also provide participating classrooms with desperately needed educational materials about the effects of deforestation and the importance of protecting the planet, the one habitat we all share.

Last year PATH provided 410 children (in India, Israel, Papua New Guinea, South Africa and the USA) with 1224 hours of hands-on enviromental education. The students planted over 1,500 trees, shrubs and bushes (along with thousands of seeds and saplings)!
