The number of mammals, birds and amphibians in Nicaragua is quickly declining due to habitat loss. In an effort to protect animals PATH is partnering with Nicaragua's Canal 2 television network and students at ACRIS to plant 9,000 trees in Nicaragua during the coming months. The trees, along with future PATH habitat restoration projects will play a vital role in protecting the balance of Nicaragua's ecosystem. Primera Hora's Bertha Valle (PATH 2006 Hero to Animals) designed and is leading this important project. Canal 2 will produce and air environmental education public service announcements leading up to Earth Day (April 22). We need our friends and supporters to supply 9,000 trees at 32 cents each ($2,880.) Your children's school class can get involved by raising and donating funds - as well as using the event as an opportunity to learn about beautiful Nicaragua and tropical ecosystems.

A Mutt Kicks Butt!, Our print/web social marketing campaign featuring Cambridge's own Puppy LaBeau will soon roll out. The image(s) truly celebrate the beauty of mixed breed dogs and are designed for free use by (any and all) animal shelters and rescues. Here's a sneak peak at the ads - please stay tuned for information on how you can access our pro-mutt materials!
PATH needs your donations to provide veterinary care, medications and nutritional supplements to the 1,200 working horses in Granada, Nicaragua. Granada city officials can now request a PATH health certificate from horse owners and demand the horse be treated by PATH/UCC before the horse can return to work. This program is friendly to both the horses and the horse owners – many of who survive only through the income generated by the horses. This innovative program is the first of its kind globally and can truly only continue with your immediate financial support.

The number of animals we help is limited only by available resources. In other words, the greater our resources, the more animals we can help. PATH needs your continued financial support. We also need donations of airline frequent flyer miles. We need veterinarians to donate equipment and supplies that they can do without. Please help us bring comfort and love to suffering animals.
