People Protecting Animals & Their Habitats-PATH advocates for the humane treatment of all animals, as well as the conservation and protection of areas that are vital to the survival of endangered or threatened species. We accomplish this by providing communities with educational and vocational opportunities that provide realistic and sustainable solutions that both improve the quality of animal’s lives, and stop habitat destruction.

MARCY UNTERMAN

For over a decade, Marcy Unterman and her family have actively supported nonprofit animal rescue and welfare organizations.  Ms. Unterman, only 25 years old, is at the forefront of a new generation of animal welfare philanthropists--a generation that supports innovative approaches to challenging animal welfare problems.  A lifelong animal lover, she has chosen to fund a upstate New York home (the Little Shelter in Huntington, New York) for “unadoptable” senior animals.  She has also funded innovative methods of  reducing animal overpopulation in developing countries.  A preschool teacher, Ms. Unterman hopes to one day operate her own animal rescue organization.
